December has gone by way to fast.....I have so many things to post about and pictures to get up, but I just don't want to!! So this post will go by about as fast as the month did....

Cole had a Christmas program. He did such a good job. Not a shy guy at all!! This is a picture of him and his BEST Friend Taye!! Ms. Kara says they are ALWAYS together!!

out okay because the little boy in front of her blocked

her totally with his reindeer ears!!

Tuesday Was the Big Day!!!

Friday Lauren came home from school and asked

if she could get her ears pierced.

She was all excited and ready to do it!!

We decided Tuesday would be the big day!!

So all weekend she was counting down the days!!

I picked her up from school and to the mall we headed.

She decided she wanted to go with her birthday stone

August = Peridot

She sat up there like a big girl with Claire Bear

The nice lady marked her ears.

Cole had to be right there to check this out!!

When the nice lady started to bring the piercing gun thing towards Lauren.....She was out of there!!!

 

I have never seen a girl squirm out of a chair so fast!!

 

We left the mall with tears a flowing and no pierced ears!!

The other day when the kids were running and playing like crazy I decided they ( ok maybe I ) needed a break and a little quiet time.  So I asked them to come sit at the table and we had a little coloring time.  While they were doing that, we talked about Thanksgiving and things they were doing at school. So I asked the kids to write down 4 things that they were thankful for.....

School Lunch

For the last week Lauren has been asking me to join her for lunch today. Today they were serving a Thanksgiving lunch:  Turkey, potatoes and gravy, green beans, rolls and pumpkin pie!! Since she mentioned it everyday and asked how many day we had left until this day. I knew there was no way I was getting out of this.

So today at noon I walked with Lauren to the lunchroom paid my $2.50 for an adult tray, which meant I got two rolls!! I was actually surprised it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be!!! Although, there was no pumpkin pie, instead we had carrot cake!!

Not only did I get to have lunch with Lauren.....I also had lunch with:

JASON: who is a chatty cathy. I couldn't even begin to tell you all the things this kid talked to me about!! Apparently he doesn't like carrot cake.....He politely asked me if he could throw up and before I realized what he said....he spitted (thank goodness) all his carrot cake back onto his tray!!! UGH!!

ALLEE: she taught me how to spell her name, she is the oldest of three kids and they just had a trip to Florida because her dad had a lot of meetings.

DAMIAN: who got an staph infection in his finger from the basketball. he had a "happy tray" which means he ate all his food.

BAILEY: who asked if I could just sit by her since I get to see Lauren at home! :)

After all was said and done. I was glad Lauren kept bugging me about having lunch with her today.  It was a good day!!

A Late Halloween!!

How can it be that I didn't blog one single time in October.  I started this with hopes to one day make a book out of it and have a wonderful keepsake.  Unfortunately, I haven't been doing very good keep this up and I think it has been even worse since I facebook and update pictures on there.  So I'm going to TRY to do better, which apparently with this post I already am!!

This Halloween I had an Evil Clown and Hulk!!

Lauren's last dance recital the big girls did and dance to Pink's Funhouse which had evil clowns. She loved the dance and knew without any doubt that is what she wanted!!  Cole started out wanting to be Ironman, but with one trip to the story to get that costume, turned into him wanting to be Hulk and nothing else!!

Orange Protest

I try each morning to give the kids some kind of fruit to eat along with their breakfast.  This morning Cole decided that he no longer likes oranges and he wasn't going to eat them. He told me " I might just drink the juice out of one!"  I had to laugh when I walked around the corner and saw this....

He was just sitting there...pitiful!!

Check up to tears!!

This morning Cole and I took off to a doctors appointment.  It was suppose to be a well-child exam for preschool.  It turned into "let's go ahead and do his kindergarten shots." Since he did turn 5 an all this month.  That one little words brought HUGE tears!!  Cole is not the best patient, but he has improved!!  He actually lets the doctors examine him without me having to hold him!!  The nice nurse even offered Cole 3 suckers since he had to have 3 shots. He was not interested!! Which is a big deal because Cole loves his suckers!!  No suckers, stickers or ice cream made these tears go away!!  When we finally got home a little baseball on the Wii has seemed to help!!

Our new 5 and 7 year olds!!

1st Grade !!

 

We had Lauren's 1st Grade orientation on Sunday. She was very excited to see her very own desk. She was able to put all her school supplies away in her desk!! Her teacher seems very nice.  I hope she has a wonderful year!!

Her first day of school was today. 

She was up and ready with no fuss today and we actually made it on time!!

I have to admit I've been watching the

clock and I'm ready to go pick her up!!

9 more minutes :)

Can't Sleep

It's 0350 and I'm wide awake!! Yes, I took Benadryl to help but that didn't seem to work or maybe I need a knew drug since I been using that one for the last 10 years.  I've slept my six hours........so now I'm wide awake at this wonderful hour.  Sitting here I am checking blogs and catching up on facebook, while enjoying a wonderful watermelon Mike brought home for me!!!

So much has happen since my last update which was long long ago.......

1. Finally finished all the remodeling on my house. Exterior painted, new shutters, and kitchen completed.

2. We are all now under one roof.  Short story.....Mike has a house and I have a house.

3. My house has been on the market now for 1 whole week. ( keep your fingers crossed ) I going to get one of the St. Joseph statues and burying it in the yard!!!

4. Lauren is all enrolled in her new school. All her 14,758 school supplies are bought and new schools clothes are all washed and hanging neatly!!

5. Our Baby Boy turned 5!!! We had a little party. Just Me, Mike and Lauren!!

6. We are planning to have a big birthday party for him and Lauren (she's getting ready to turn 7).  It's kind of nice that they had no problem sharing their parties.  We haven't done that for the last couple of years. They choose to go back to The Flip Shop again this year!!

7. Lauren had her dance enrollment last Friday. That starts next month!! Miss Sherry did a little remodeling also.....It looks fabUlous!!!

and I think that may be it in a nutshell!!

Later today brings....dentist appts, lawn mowing, picking up our pictures from Calotype (YAY!!!) and lots of time at the pool!!

Red, White and Branson!!

I can't even remember Mike and I ever having time off around the 4th of July to celebrate and take the kids to see fireworks. I was very excited to find the Branson Landing was having their show on the 3rd and a concert which was a tribute band to Journey.  I had to do a little begging, but Mike gave in!! 

While we were walking around we decided

The concert began at 8 and the kids were

all smiles and dancing!!

Then the band kept playing

and playing for 2 whole hours!!!

up in the blanket on my lap

And poor Cole asked many times...

"Are they done yet??"

 Which were my thoughts exactly!!!

Finally the Fireworks began....

Cole asked me to come into his room. Then he sweetly asked me, " Mom, how do you hold a baby? Can you show me." Of course I asked if I could take his picture!!

I thought awww how sweet!!

That lasted about 2 seconds or long enough for me to get two pictures.....

Then he informed me

That it was also a guitar and off he went!!

sweetness over and orneriness took over!!

Birthday Cookout!!

Last weekend Mike and I decided to have our families over for a good ole' summer cookout. It just happen to be my mom's birthday, my birthday and Mike birthday, even more a reason to have a party.

We tried out a new bakery

So I decided to give this a try.
