Whose got the kindergarten blues??

It's not like I didn't know this was coming.

What I'm really surprised about is the feeling I have in the pit of my stomach the closer it gets.

I'm getting ready in a couple of weeks to send Miss Lauren off to Kindergarten.

No problem I can do that..... right??

First, came the stores filling up their shelves with all the school supplies. How exciting!!

Then came the supply list. I grabbed one, but thought I would just get the supplies later.

I don't need to get them now, right?? I now realize that was my denial saying Hello!!

Finally, it happen............Her teacher called!! UGH!! Ms. Vansickle would like to set up a time to come over and meet Lauren and her family.

(little side bar..) have you ever had a teacher come to your house to meet you?
What happen to open house, seeing the classroom and meeting the teacher?
At first I thought, how nice!! Then...Some of my friends thought this was a little strange and had never heard of it (and they made me paranoid, thankyouverymuch) How was I suppose to know who this lady was calling. I've never met or heard of Ms. Vansickle and now this person is going to show up at my house. Isn't it horrible that you really can't just trust people anymore with all the craziness going on in the world. So I checked it out and all is well. Now she probably thinks I'm crazy!! Anyway!!

That did it!! The tears came. I called Mike and admitted it out loud. "This is really bothering me and we are not even to "THE FIRST DAY" yet!! I'm going to be a mess!!

My babies are growing up too fast.
I just can't believe it is here and am really surprised how it hit me!!

My baby girl!!

And to think this is just Kindergarten!!

Branson

A couple of weekends ago we packed up and headed to Branson. I took a lot of pictures but after looking through all of them. I thought these 3 said it all.

We drove down Friday night and stayed at a cabin that was recommend to us. It was nice because the kids had their own room with a twin bed for each of them. They were so tuckered out by the end of the day I didn't have to worry about them talking or playing!! The one thing I didn't like was the cabins were old. I think the were probably built in the 70's and still looked like it. For the money I would have expected a little better. But it was fine and the kid enjoyed it and I liked that it was something different then just your regular hotel room!!

Saturday was a fun-filled day at Silver Dollar City. I was really surprised that we have 2 fearless little ones!! Which means bad news for me, because for some reason I get really bad motion sickness, even riding in the back seat of a car. I hate it!! So I sucked it up and rode the rides, but the tea cups were not even an option!! No way!! Mike is so good!! He took them on the tea cups the they spun around and around and around till their little hearts were content!! No thank you!!

Cole was about 2 inches tall enough to ride all the rides with us!! Thank you Lord!! They enjoyed the Lost River and Mike got absolutely soaked (he he he). They weren't quite sure what they were in for with Fire in the Hole, but they were ready to ride it again after they realized they survived!! I know that probably sounds mean, but it was funny!!

I love the expression on Lauren and Cole's face. When I saw this picture I knew it was the only one that needed to go on the blog. It says it all! FUN, FUN, FUN!!

Sunday while waiting to go to the Dixie Stampede (which was fabulous!!) we went to a Dinosaur Museum. This was really neat and Cole was in heaven. If I didn't slow him down he would have went through it in about 5 minutes. These things were huge. I mean I know they were huge but..... you know!!

And of course you can't go to Branson without getting a family picture!! Mike was less than thrill, but I told him that he didn't have to worry about smiling that he could look mean. That made it better.

Cole's little face made the wait well worth it!!

We had a fun time. Next year we are going to a Beach!! I would love to hear where your favorite beach is at? Where would you vacation at again??

staying in our pj's today!!

We arrived home Sunday night from a wonderful weekend vacation in Branson. I would have loved to make this post about that fun trip, but Lauren and I both came home not feeling very well. I have a horrible sore throat and respiratory junk going on and Lauren is running a fever and a cough. So today is definitely going to be a pj day and I might get through that laundry, that's a big might!!

D....E....L.....L

While enjoying my whole 3 minutes in the shower this morning. Lauren barges through the door with "something neat" so she says to tell me...

Hey mom.........I have something neat to tell you

Okay!! (thinking that was a short piece of quiet)

D E L L , something that my mom loves to do. D E L L ! That was a commerical mom. I just made it up, it wasn't on T.V. or anything!!

and she happily skips out of the bathroom and leaves me thinking......

Wow, I guess I'm spending too much time with my DELL!!

Slipping and a sliding!!

Yesterday was so hot. I didn't want to take the kids to the pool again, so I decided to head to Wal-Mart!! I picked up a slip n' slide, bathing suits for the kids, because it was more convenient then driving home, and some cute water shoes. You know I can't just go to Wal-Mart and get the "one" thing I was going for!! Then headed out to Grandma's house so they could play with their cousins Fallon and Lexi. Everyone had a great time! Even Uncle David came home and joined in on the fun!!

Two little fish!!

Wednesday evening Mike and I decided to take the kids up to my grandparents house for a nice swim. It was still hot, but in the evening my grandparents pool is shaded which is nice. Although, I'm a sun girl and would rather be in the pool with lots of sunshine!!

Last year Lauren took swimming lesson. This year she is kind of off to a slow start and I was wondering if I should do the swim lessons again (probably) but every time we get in the pool she seems to be catching on more and more??

This day she conquered her fear and jumped off the diving board. I was so proud of her. She just said I'm going to do it and did it. She went under popped back up and swam to the shallow end with a big smile on her face!! I know you are probably not suppose to wear the floaties and jump off the diving board, but it made her feel better and she survived!!

She did great until she did a little belly flop and
then the fun was over....for a little bit!!
Cole just paddles all over the pool and floats around.
He loves the water!!

He has these little fish and will squirt anyone within distance.

Why is it that whether it is Mike, Grandpa or Uncle David.
They all have the need to throw the someone up in the air.
Shouldn't some one's eyes be open to catch Cole,
Ahem MIKE!!!!

And...yes I was there also and spent
a little time enjoying my foot massage!
Until and little shark named Cole thought
it would be funny to come bite my feet!!!
